Congratulations to Cyrielle Hou, team 10 of Fred Relaix/François-Jérôme Authier, who has just won the Master’s Award in Myology from the Société Française de Myologie / Santhera Pharmaceuticals!

The Master’s Award in Myology from the French Society of Myology / Santhera Pharmaceuticals is intended to reward a young researcher for the quality of his or her Master’s work in Biology in clinical, physiopathological or fundamental research in the field of Myology.

This prize judges the presentation of the thesis and more generally the candidate’s file (CV, thesis project, poster presented, etc.). The pre-selected candidates must produce a 3-minute poster and oral communication and after these presentations, the prize is announced.

Cyrielle Hou presented her M2 results on the topic “Effects of interferon-gamma on the biology of myogenic cells. Application to the physiology of inflammatory myopathies”. As part of her thesis she will also continue on this subject.

The jury was composed of Catherine Coirault (Team 1- Genetics, Physiopathology & therapeutic approaches to muscle diseases, Institute of Myology), Jean-Marie Cuisset (CHU de Lille), Pascal Laforêt (Department of Neurology 2: Clinical Unit of Neuromuscular Pathology, Institute of Myology, Rémi Mounier (Centre de Génétique et de Physiologie Moléculaires et Cellulaires, UMR CNRS 5534, Université Claude Bernard, Lyon.
